Wednesday Morning – Saulsbury TN
Wednesday Afternoon – AAA RV Park - Union City TN
it may not be much to look at but it has ALL the goods. . .
awesome 50 amp service, great water pressure. . .
and best of all. . .sewer hookups. . .yaaa!
and all at Passport America rates of $16 per night. . .
very, very pleased!
as soon as we were set up. . .Donna and Larry picked us up,
and took us to PV’s HUT. . .again. . .not much to look at,
but a really, really great burger. . .diner style!
and a slice of homemade lemon icebox pie. . .yum!
later Wednesday me made a trip out to see Reelfoot Lake. . .
a Cypress Lake and Swamp. . .much like our area of the country. . .
only with semi-clear water instead of the muddy brown stuff we know and love.
my pics really don’t do justice to the lovely park
and boardwalk area where we we walked out to view the lake.
There was also a rehab center for injured birds of the area. . .
this Barn Owl was having an absolute fit. . .hissing and carrying on. . .
very dramatic and traumatized. . . I’m not sure it should really
be out where it can be harrassed by the public. . .
not that anyone was bothering it,
but it’s cage was entirely too close to all the foot traffic. . .
and check out this beauty I photographed out over the swamp. . .
I’m thinking it MIGHT BE a warbler. . .
but it’s really difficult to determine without seeing it’s markings. . .
and of course. . .there must be more food.
a delicious Catfish Supper treat by Donna and Larry. . .
more fun Thursday morning at Discovery Park of America. . .
the guys were very agreeable to photo ops. . .
I repeatedly requested a Hummer for our tow vehicle. . .
to that, Dave was not agreeable. . .this is the closest I’ll ever get!
and that Donna. . .she’s a laugh a minute. . .
she and Dave make quite the pair!
She decided she simply MUST experience this two story slide. . .
she was thinking it was just the normal, run of the mill
slide you find in the park. . .ha ha. . .NOT SO!
She came out of there like a bullet. . .HILARIOUS!
We’ve had such a great time here in Union City
with Donna and Larry. . .
Will always be looking forward to
each and every time our paths cross. . .
Headed to Kentucky on Saturday morning. . .
‘til then,
Janice and Dave
