Leaving Ohio–On to New York State

Sunday, July 7

yaaaa. . .the Fourth of July Holiday weekend is finally over, and we can get back to our travel schedule. . .

This is only the second time that we have been in travel mode for the Fourth. . .

we are normally workamping somewhere, and all settled in and comfy. . .

so I forget how crazy it is trying to get a RV space. . .and how pricey they are for the holiday. . .

arrived safely at Fourmile Creek State Park, knowing we would not have sewer hookups. . .

the part we missed was. . .no water hookups either. . .oops. . .came in with only about 25 gallons in the tank,

and of course, completely set up. . .50 amp electric. . .leveled. . .slides out. . .get the water hose out. . .

BABE!  Do you see a water spigot?  hmmmm. . .nope. . .okay. . .go check the paperwork. . .

YEP. . .electric only. . .oh well. . .our fault for not paying more attention. . .

fortunately, there is a water spigot only two sites over at the drinking fountain. . .

drag out every inch of hose we own. . .all 100 feet, and add some water to the tank. . .

otherwise. . .guess what. . .break down. . .and go get water. . .yup. . .lesson learned. . .LOL!

You’d think after 10 years of Full Time RV Living we would have learned ALL the lessons. . .

but NOPE. . .still got some more to learn. . .ahhh. . .makes life exciting sometimes!

New York, Youngstown NY, Fourmile Creek State Park (1)

Bottom line. . .Fourmile Creek is a beautiful State Park located right on the shores of Lake Ontario. . .

on a clear day (didn’t happen during our stay) you can see Toronto, Ontario, Canada 27 miles away. . .

we could see the lake from our campsite. . .fabulous place to sit lakeside. . .and drink coffee in the mornings!

New York, Niagara Falls

as is my nature. . .when we are somewhere exciting. . .

just as soon as we get set up, we must rush right over to see it, . . .

so. . .this is our very first view of Niagara Falls. . .

awesome, spectacular, deafening. . .just fabulous!

So much beauty. . .so many pictures. . .much, much more in the next post. . .

Til then,

Janice and Dave
